Create a beautiful Thanksgiving table with inexpensive items and a great tip for creating a full and beautiful centerpiece.

I like a simple tablescape for Thanksgiving since I prefer for the food to be the main attraction.
As you can see I have used a blue color tablecloth as my base... I know, it is not a traditional fall color but it works well in my eye. Now if you prefer a patterned tablecloth, that is perfectly fine...I would in that case, add a simpler table settings so the tablecloth pops and not many patterns are competing with each other.
I also used a natural color table runner in order for the flower arrangement to pop.
The pumpkins added around the centerpiece are faux and very inexpensive. You can find them at Walmart, Michaels or Hobby Lobby. I added the pine cones to give the tablescape a natural feel and these were found just walking in my neighborhood. I am known for walking around my neighborhood with a bag and picking up all sorts of natural items from my walks... you never know what you’ll find in your walks, right?
I then added these brass candlesticks to add a little flair to the tablescape. I always love candles at dinner time, somehow it feels so much more special.
The addition of wine glasses is up to you, of course, but it just makes the tablescape a bit more special. We hardly drink alcohol but even if we have iced tea, we’ll use the wine glasses for this special occasion.
I love to bring a bread board on the table for everyone to grab a piece of bread and also to nibble a little bit before the big meal is ready.
I also added a little thank you note to each place setting just to let everyone at the table know that I am so thankful they are a part of my life. Little details mean so much to your guests.
Now for the centerpiece. This is a money saving tip. Get yourself a big container or vase in which a glass jar could fit into it. I used an old bucket that I purchased at a flea market here. For a similar one look here.
Get some fall flowers from the supermarket and place them in the glass jar with water. Place the glass jar in the bigger container or vase. Add artificial flowers from Michaels, Hobby Lobby or Walmart all around the outside of the glass jar making your arrangement much fuller. You don’t need to buy more than one arrangement to make it look fuller. Of course, if you don’t have any artificial flowers, you will need to get some. Always try to purchase them after the holiday since they go on sale at about 70% off.
The ruffled chair covers were obtained from here in case you are interested.
I hope I have inspired you to create a beautiful tablescape of your own with these tips.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
