Items you will need:
Cardstock
ModPodge or Glue
First, use card stock paper and cut it in a circle at the desired diameter. I used a circle cutter I have had for years, but this one is perfect to have on hand for crafts.
Now using the same cutter, cut another circle using an old music sheet, but cut that circle a little smaller than the white stock paper. Glue the music circle to the white paper as shown.
You will need to cut 5 white circles and 5 music paper circles in total but you can always cut more if you need a longer garland.
Now to add a little Christmas charm, add Elmer’s glue or ModPodge to the edge and sprinkle some glitter. This is the glitter I used.
After the glued glitter has dried, cut some greenery and embellishment from your Christmas picks and using a glue gun, glue it to the top of the circle as shown.
Select a pretty red ribbon and measure how long you’ll need your garland/ribbon to be, and then cut and tie a knot at each end.
Locate the middle of the ribbon and glue your first finished circle there. Now you need to space the other circles as you wish but glue two to one side of the centered circle and two to the other side. If your ribbon is longer, just glue more embellished circles to it. Just make sure the total circles are at an odd number not even. It always looks better in odd numbers.
I still had to add glitter to this garland below since I was making two of them at the same time but I recommend adding the glitter first before adding the greenery.
If you are hanging your garland by a mirror, like I did, glue music circles to the back of the white paper too so that it looks more finished and it reflects the music sheet instead of the white paper.
I hope you like this easy diy Christmas garland and it inspires you to create one for yourself.

Alicia
