One of my favorite seasons is Spring because it brings the beginning of new life... flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, the warm sun appears, the windows get opened and the garden is calling.
When creating a tablescape for Spring I think of a all those elements and try to create a continuation of that.
Tulips always add such a happy smile to any tablescape. And adding eggs and bunnies makes it an Easter tablescape, of which it always baffled me of where the Egg and Bunny tradition started. I did some research and learned that the egg is an ancient symbol of new life and bunnies multiply often creating new life ( these were pagan traditions)... and since Easter is truly about the resurrection of Jesus which brings new life, that sort of makes sense, sort of.
Creating the table setting was fun... fabric covered foam carrots add a whimsy touch on top of the place-setting and the yellow napkins complement the color of the tulips bringing it together. The scalloped tablecloth was a great Target find that added to the fun of the tablescape.
I love adding natural elements to a table like the oranges and iced tea.... It feels more inviting to me.....plus I love mixing peach flavored iced tea with oranges, it tastes divine.
As you can see I also added the outdoor clay pots to add the natural spring decor to the table. These ball boxwoods are faux ones that were purchased at Marshall's. If you can't find them at Marshall's, alternative sources are listed at the bottom of the post.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful Easter Celebration.

P.S. Sources are listed below to help you create a similar look
Here are some of the sources for the items on the table in case you are interested. My identical items are no longer available but here are some alternatives that would work great too.
Scalloped tablecloth (the green checkered is adorable)
Clay Pots (I actually like these better than mine)
